Peacetalks

Peacetalks: Exploring Alternatives to Violence
The Peacetalks series takes listeners across America and around the world to meet people who are searching for unique, creative and uplifting ways of living together in the wake of war or violence, providing an alternative to the stories of murder, death, rape, crime and war that we hear everyday. From land reparation in South Africa to tree planting where landmines once marred the countryside of Vietnam, from creating "Petals of Hope" in Northern Ireland to dancing for social change in Poland, the program shares intimate and compelling stories of people struggling to move beyond violence while exploring in-depth issues, ideas and practices that are at the heart of the global struggle for peace and justice.
Fridays at 10 p.m. throughout the month
