Daily Program Service

Radio Times host Marty Moss-Coane.

The news and public affairs programs presented every day by WHYY are respected by audiences and newsmakers alike. We deliver an experience that is thoughtful, accurate and available through an increasing variety of media.

In one recent example, Pennsylvania State Senator Vince Fumo, seeking a forum to discuss a controversial issue, turned down other offers to appear first on WHYY-FM's Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane. This daily interview and call-in show now also offers a weekly "best of" program on TV12, is simulcast live on WHYY digital TV and streamed live on whyy.org.

With WHYY's new digital capabilities on WHYY 12.1 and on Digital Cable Channel 220, we have inaugurated a new, stand-alone TV service that allows us to add live news events, films by independent filmmakers, local arts and cultural content and coverage of other newsworthy events.

Former Secretary of State Madeline Albright is interviewed on Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane, broadcast on 91FM, TV12, WHYY digital TV, and ON DEMAND, and streamed online at whyy.org.

You can also experience WHYY's intelligent information service by tuning to:
  • Regional reports and interviews with Brenda Jorett, host of WHYY's Morning Edition.
  • Expanded local coverage by WHYY reporters and anchors throughout the day and on All Things Considered with Dave Heller.
  • Delaware Tonight, the region's only daily news program produced in Delaware, on TV12, digital TV, whyy.org and now through ON DEMAND from Comcast Digital Cable.
  • Issue-oriented discussions with regional newsmakers on Delaware Tonight's "Friday Forum."
  • Business commentary in association with the Philadelphia Business Journal's Tracy Sabol and advice from Consumer Reports.
  • A thoughtful perspective on mental health issues and current events with Dan Gottlieb, Ph.D. on Voices in the Family, a weekly one-hour call-in program and a weekly segment on WHYY's Morning Edition.

Respected journalists Cokie Roberts, Gwen Ifill, Jim Lehrer, Bill Moyers and many more are also key parts of the WHYY experience. Some of the finest news and public affairs programs available anywhere include The NewsHour, Frontline, BBC World News, Washington Week, Wall $treet Week, Nightly Business Report and Weekend Edition.
