The Constitution: A Presidential View

WHYY, in cooperation with the National Constitution Center, is producing a four-part national television and radio series featuring interviews with past presidents Ford, Carter, Bush and Clinton. The programs, hosted by NPR correspondent Cokie Roberts, will explore how constitutional issues impact the presidency. The series will consider how the Constitution has remained relevant to American society for more than 200 years, and how various presidents throughout history have interpreted the document. The series is scheduled for broadcast in summer 2004, and will be supplemented by a DVD and Web-based educational material.
