HIGHLIGHTS
WHYY TV12 highlights during the month of September
2008 include some never before seen music specials,
including the US premiere of a rare Billy Joel performance
on the 30 anniversary of its concert debut, Billy
Joel: The Stranger Live. Marking the one-year
anniversary of the death of the King of High C’s,
Pavarotti: A Life in Seven Arias,
looks back on the life of one of the most remarkable
opera singers of our time. Also highlighting the
month is an all-Italian night of programming, with
WHYY’s own production of South Philly: Italian
Style , as well as That’s Amore
and My Family. Also in
September is a rare never before seen concert by
the Who from 1977, The Who at Kilburn,
as well as a live PBS special from San Francisco,
The 60s Live – My Generation My Music.
