Guerilla Guide to Politics

Regardless of whether you think young people's failure to take advantage of their right to vote has more to with political apathy or alienation, the fact is clear: In the 2000 election, only about 36% of citizens between the ages of 18-24 went to the polls. This hip, high-energy program aims to empower younger voters to exercise their civic muscles by showing them the importance of taking part in the democratic process. Hosts Jim Rettew and Alexis Anzalone present a comprehensible "how-to" citizens' guide, breaking down complicated civic lessons and highlighting practical topics such as how to register, vote and contact public officials.
