The following courses will be offered during the winter semester, beginning December 23, 1996, and running through February 2, 1997. Western Tradition I &
II examine the cultural and philosophical
movements that have shaped the Western world from ancient
times to the present. |
Discovering Psychology
focuses on the
fundamental principles of psychology, such as brain and
behavior,sensation and perception, conditioning and
learning,cognitive processes, psychopathology, social
influences and therapy. |

Harcum College, one of the founding
members of the Delaware Valley Distance Learning Consortium,
becomes the twelfth college in the tri-state area to offer
telecourses to its students via the WHYY Home College
Service. Harcum College is a two-year college for women
located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Marilyn Kimmelman, newly
appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs, says that
