Portrait of a Family takes a look at the fascinating mosaic temporary family forms.

The World of Abnormal Psychology examines the complex factors that cause behavioral disorders and demonstrates the psychological, biological, and social approaches to treatment as well as current research.

Worlds of Childhood surveys the cognitive, social, and physical development of children in cultural and historical

Discovering Psychology focuses on the fundamental principles of psychology, such as brain and behavior,sensation and perception, conditioning and learning,cognitive processes, psychopathology, social influences and therapy.

The Business File provides a comprehensive overview of the contemporary business environment from the basic principles of organizational structure and management to the challenges of business on an international scale.

Taking the Lead is organized around five major business management functions: planning, organizing, staffing,directing, and controlling.

The Sociological Imagination: Introduction to Sociology provides an in-depth look at groups , communities, institutions, and social situations.

Living with Health focuses on the lifestyle components that encourage wellness.


Harcum College, one of the founding members of the Delaware Valley Distance Learning Consortium, becomes the twelfth college in the tri-state area to offer telecourses to its students via the WHYY Home College Service. Harcum College is a two-year college for women located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Marilyn Kimmelman, newly appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs, says that Harcum is "excited" about the opportunities the WHYY Home College

Service will present to Service will present to [Harcum's] students and faculty."Harcum plans to offer three courses during the winter semester, and five courses in the spring.
