Southeastern PA Honeybee symposium
Saturday October 10th

Mike will speak twice at this first-ever "Bee Fest", sponsored by the Montgomery County Beekeepers and Temple University. The all-day event runs from 8 am to 4 pm; Mike will deliver a talk on Native Pollinators at 9:45 and Gardening Without Pesticides at 1:15. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Georgia Master Gardeners "Autumn Harmony" event

Busbee Conference Center; Gwinnett Technical College, Lawrenceville, GA
Mike will deliver the keynote talk: "Going Organic is the way to solve all your garden problems" at 10:50 am, sign books, and do a seed-saving workshop after lunch (NOT later in the day as originally planned). Empty Bowl Dinner to Benefit the Homeless
Thursday, November 19; 5 to 8 pm
Chestnut Hill College; Philadelphia
Join Mike as he once again hosts this great event whose proceeds go to fund one of the best programs for homeless families in our area. For a small donation, you get to choose a bowl from a room full of wonderful ones (all handmade by local school children and artisans) and then fill it (or a disposable bowl if the 'real one' you picked is too cool to use) with all kinds of wonderful soup donated by area restaurants; as much and as many different soups as you want. Bread and cookies too. And then you take home the bowl--such a deal! More info »

The Pottstown Area Garden Club will present a Standard Flower Show entitled "A Harvest of Holidays," reflecting the diversity in a year's worth of holidays, at the Frederick Mennonite Community, a retirement center on Big Road (Route 73), Frederick, Pennsylvania. Perennial Plant Conference
