A Conversation with Jon Kabat-Zinn

How many times a day do we actually experience the very moment we are in? When are we not thinking ahead, planning, multi-tasking, wishing we were somewhere else? What does it mean to be present in the moment? And what would it mean to our lives? We'll listen to Dan Gottlieb's conversation with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. Zinn is the founder and director of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He is a renowned teacher of Mindfulness, a technique designed to help people calm their minds, and focus on the presence. He employs mindfulness meditation - sitting and focusing on one's breath - to teach people to be more aware of each passing moment. Research shows that mindfulness meditation can reduce anxiety and depression, lower blood pressure, and help patients deal with chronic pain and illness. Listen »
