Buttermilk Pie from Endangered Recipes by Lari Robling

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 stick (4 oz) butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 single pie crust

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° degrees.

In a large bowl, beat eggs until smooth. Add sugar, buttermilk, butter, flour and vanilla. Mix well.

Line a 9 inch pie pan with 1 round of unbaked pie crust and pour in filling.

Sprinkle with a little nutmeg, if desired.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until just barely firm.

Cool before slicing.
