Hot Dog Buns

For this recipe you will need:

  • 1/2 oz dry yeast
  • 2 C warm low fat milk
  • 1 oz sugar
  • 1 1/2 T honey
  • 4 C bread flour + 2 1/2 C bread flour
  • 1 T salt
  • 3 T vegetable oil

Dissovle yeast, sugar and honey in warm milk. Add 4 C flour and mix with dough hook. Allow to rise for thirty minute and then add remaining flour and ingredients. Mix with dough hook until smooth. Divide into 20 equal pieces (about 3 oz each). Allow to double in volume then moll out into ciagr shape roll. Allow to double in vloume once more. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 25 minutes.

Makes about 20 buns -- freeze unused portions.
