Korean Style Chicken Wings

For this recipe you will need:

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup toasted dark sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons peeled and minced fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons dried red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 chicken wings
  • 2 scallions, sliced (green parts only)

To prepare this recipe:

To prepare the chicken, place the garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar vinegar, pepper flakes, sesame seeds, and pepper in a mixing bowl and whisk together. Transfer to a large re-sealable plastic bag and add the chicken, turning to coat. Seta the bad and marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a roasting pan with foil and place a cooking rack on the foil. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place on the rack. Put in the oven and roast for 30 to 40 minutes, until cooked through. Transfer chick to serving plates, garnish with the scallions.
