Heat the butter in a saute' pan and add the Cream of Wheat. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the wheat begins to darken in color. Add the sugar and stir-fry for a few more minutes, until the wheat acquires a light brown color. Add the water and stir. Add the almonds, cardamon and raisins. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 5 more minutes, until solid. Serve hot or cold.
