Blueberry and Blackberry Pie

For this recipe you will need:

Dough:
2/3 cup shortening
2 cups all purpose flour
pinch of salt
ice cold water

Filling:
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
3 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
2 cups fresh blackberries
1 tbsp. lime juice
2 tbsp. butter

To prepare this recipe:

Preheat the oven to 300.

In a mixing bowl cut the shortening into the 2 cups of flour and salt until the dough breaks up into small pieces.

Add one tbsp. of ice water at a time until the dough is moist enough to form a ball.

Divide into two separate balls and roll each one out. Place one on the bottom of a 9" pie tin.

Mix the sugars with 1/3 cup of flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, blueberries, blackberries and limejuice. Combine well and pour into the pie tin.

Dot with butter and top with remaining pie dough. Split the top of the dough to release steam and bake in a preheated 425()() oven for 30-45 minutes until done.
