Peppermint Ice Cream Pie with Hot Fudge Sauce

For this recipe you will need:

20 oreo cookies
1/4 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 qt. Vanilla ice cream
1 tsp. Peppermint flavoring (extract)
10 drops of green food coloring

1 stick of butter
4 squares of unsweetened chocolate
3 cups of sugar
pinch of salt
1 can of evaporated milk

To prepare this recipe:

Crush the oreo cookies in a food processor and add the melted butter. Press into a 9" pie pan. Soften the ice cream, fold in the flavoring and food coloring. Pour into the pie tin and freeze. Melt the butter on top of a double boiler and drop in the chocolate for the sauce. Add the sugar a little at a time until dissolved. Add salt and stir in the evaporated milk and let cook until well blended. Pull ice cream out of the freezer and serve with the warm chocolate sauce.
