Life after Loss

In 1999, two young Franciscan University students, Aaron Land and Brian Muha, were abducted from their off-campus house and killed. Aaron's mother, Kathleen O'Hara joins us to talk about her life since the tragedy. She is a psychotherapist in private practice in Philadelphia, and will speak about the role of forgiveness, and the process of healing. We'll also explore the role of support groups for victims of violent crimes with Tonya Ladipo from the Victim Services Center of Montgomery County.

It can also drive people insane, and cause them to bring pain and suffering to others. Dr. Gottlieb will discuss ambition with Dr. Anne Skleder and James Champy. Skleder is professor of psychology at Alvernia College in Reading, PA, Champy is the author of "The Arc of Ambition." They'll explore how ambitious people are perceived in our society, how ambition differs in men and women, and when ambition becomes an obsession.

Fatherhood

Many politicians have focused on so-called "Dead-Beat Dads" recently, trying to find ways to ensure that fathers take their financial responsibilities seriously. Yet there are many experts who argue that fathers don't have enough rights, and that our society does not foster responsible fatherhood. Dr. Dan Gottlieb's guest is Dr. Warren Farrell, he is the author of "Father and Child Reunion: How to Bring the Dads We Need to the Children We Love." We will also hear about a workshop for young fathers, and we'll be joined by a local man who has experienced fatherhood in a very different way.
