In the early '70s, many of the shows produced by WUHY-FM were done by station volunteers, including the group Radio Free Women. Radio Free Women put together a weekly, half-hour show called Learning To Fly, which explored issues such as work and healthcare, marriage and motherhood, from a feminist perspective.
